Our first exchange program in Istanbul has been fruitfully completed with 8 UTokyo students & 5 Tokyo-Tech students.

＜Program＞

22 Fub. 2016

All participant attended to the First Joint Workshop in Energy Institute of Istanbul Technical University.
Through this workshop, ideas and points of this exchange program was shared not only with the faculties, but also with the students.

23 Fub. 2016

Students experienced poster presentations at the symposium in joint workshop in the moring.
After that, Turkish & Turkish Culture lecture was given by prof. Tekmen of Ankara University.

24 Fub. 2016

Both Japan side and Turkey side students visited ERSEL HEAVY MACHINERY INDUSTRY AND TRADE CO in Gebze. Following to it, they had opportunity to see the construction site of Evrasya Tunnel project. Summary of this large national project was also explained by Yapı Merkezi which is one of cooperation company of the project.

25 Fub. 2016

The 4th day, participants visited AFAD Istanbul branch to study disaster management of metropolitan municipality of Istanbul.In the afternoon, ITU students gave campus tour in ITU Maslak Campus; such as civil engineering lab, nuclear reactor etc.

26 Fub. 2016

In the final day of the program, students visited to Istanbul Naval Museum, Dolmabahce palace for fieldwork. Last evening, members from Japan side and Turkey side took part in farewell dinner.
