D-learning lecture series has been started with Polycom device which had been installed in Middle East Technical University (METU) last June.
This D-learning has originally been organized by Tokyo Tech and National Central University (Taiwan) and from 2016 autumn semester, we added METU as a new counter part.

The lecture title is “Earthquake and Tsunami Disaster Reduction” and composed of 8 lectures given from professors of those 3 universities.

At the beginning of first lecture, Prof. Hitoshi Morikawa introduced the about the criteria for judging student’s performance. Subsequently, Assoc Prof. Kojiro Suzuki of Tokyo Tech gave a lecture on tsunami disaster and the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, and lively question and answer session followed it.

For student’s convenience, we use private web page which permit them to download lecture slides or movies.

Although this D-learnig lectures has registered to the syllabus with credit in each of Tokyo Tech and NCU, credit recognition in METU is still at trial stage. It is planned to be considered it based on performance of this semester.
